The Movies
Not, as most normal people would assume, a page dedicated to cinema, films and other wholesome pursuits, but actually a temporary dumping ground for assets I've created for The Movies Game by Lionhead Studios. Feel free to use them in your own movies. A mention in your film description would be nice if you upload them to TMO, but it's not compulsory. Just don't blame me if you go to the Bad Place when you die...
Overlays
For use with the Stunts & Effects expansion pack. Unpack the archive (D/L PowerArchiver if need be) and copy the files to the following folder
C:\Program Files\Lionhead Studios Ltd\The Movies\Data\Textures\Overlays
If that folder doesn't exist, create it yourself and transfer the files there. The overlay files just go straight into the 'Overlays' folder on their own - if you put them inside their own folder within the '/Overlays' folder, the game won't be able to find them.
Castle Flyby Animated Overlay by Matneee
Quite large this one and it has about 380 files in it (it's about 100MB when unzipped!)

Pretty much what the title says, really - a Dragon roaring on a lava field.

Works remarkably well as an understated establishing shot before interior scenes.

Rising Castle Shot Overlay by Matneee
Starts in the forest and the shot rises upward to take in the castle, flags & trees etc blow as they should in the wind and so on, very swish. About 70 frames (7 seconds), 35MB, but zipped to about 16MB for downloading. High-quality - double the resolution of most others on this page.

Forest Overlay by Matneee
Basically a tracking shot going through the forest (a little similar to how you would see it in a 1st person shooter, I suppose). Could be good for Horror movies, I guess, or movies that require, er, a decent quality tracking shot through a forest. About 100 frames, 10 seconds, 50MB, but zipped to about 20MB for downloading. This one is also High-Quality.

The Island Animated Overlay by Matneee
Smaller than the Castle Flyby, but still about 45MB unzipped.

Portal Animated Overlay by Matneee
A burst of light that could be used as a 'portal' effect, or an explosion if you wished. This effect is transparent, so it can be used over any scene in the game.

An overlay that generates an explosion/flames effect. This effect is transparent, so it can be used over any scene.

The Snowverlay by Matneee
You'll just have to trust me here, but this looks really excellent in game - the thumbnail doesn't even begin to do it justice. It's basically a falling snow overlay (transparent, naturally) with a few layers to give it depth and some pretty realistic snow movement. Can be used in any scene.

Underpants Man Advert by Matneee
I wasn't going to upload this one - I really didn't think anyone in their right mind would use it, to be honest - but unbelievably I've had a couple of requests for it. Basically, a guy called Biggstrek made a film about a man who runs about fighting crime in his underpants. Er, that is to say, not crime inside his underpants, just wearing underpants while doing so. Anyway, I did this advert for it which I nailed onto the end of something I made that got to #1. Don't ask...

"The Spirit" Animated Overlay by Matneee
For those who don't know, The Spirit is a charity fund on The Movies Forums set up to give VC (the game's virtual currency) to new/struggling studios. I did a film a while ago to raise money for it and used this at the begining. It might be usefull if anyone else is planning to donate film proceeds. Of course, if you're a tight fisted sod you can totally ignore this and slink back into the dark. For shame - how do you sleep at night?
